Lead Mechanical Engineer

Gyptech is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to work within the Mill Group Design team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead designers in the development, coordination and maintenance of projects.
• Assist in the development of conceptual designs.
• Review designs for accuracy, select equipment based on design criteria.
• Develop standard practices, create and maintains design schedules.
• Coordinates and interfaces with vendors on technical specifications.
• Travel to customer sites to conduct installation, verify set-up and confirm proper operation for all Gyptech supplied systems.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced Inventor/AutoCAD knowledge and design skills are essential.
• Knowledge of bulk material handling equipment; screw conveyors, dust collectors and elevators an asset.
• Experience working in fast paced engineering environment working with budgets and timelines.
• Candidates must be self-starters with aptitude for problem solving and proven organizational skills.
• Ability to work within a team and represent the company to outside agencies.
• Strong overall design, project leadership and communication skills are needed.
