What's New at Gyptech
Welcome . . .
to the first instalment of Gyptech’s new blog! This is a chance for us to let you know what we have been up to around the globe on a month to month basis from events & innovative breakthroughs, to projects and an ongoing portfolio of our work.
Most recently we were an exhibitor at the 2009 Global Gypsum Conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil held from May 10-12. This was Gyptech’s 9th year attending the conference, having been a presence since the very first conference in Bangkok, Thailand March 1999.
We were honored this year that our own Stig Hesse, President of Gyptech AB was presented with Global Gypsum Personality of the year. Stig was honored for his long, dedicated career in the industry. From the start of his Gypsum career with Flakt AB in 1966, Stig has been dedicated to the expertise of gypsum board drying. Also as one of the very few delegates to all 9 Global Gypsum Conferences, he has been singled out as a truly exceptional member of the Gypsum community and all of us at Gyptech salute him for this well deserved recognition.
This year’s conference also launched an exciting new venture for Gyptech in partnership with Innogyps, CasoFour, and NuGyp. NuGyp, founded in 2006 by Bob Bruce, Charlie Blow, and Gary Murray, has developed an innovative technology for reducing the water demand of stucco for gypsum plasterboard. With the combined expertise of Bob, Charlie, and Gary (President & CEO of Gyptech) this breakthrough technology is set to make quite the impact on the Gypsum market.
